Photovoltaic power generation project of the Luoyang Zhonglan Aviation Science and Technology Park
The project is located in the Luoyang Zhonglan Aviation Science and Technology Park, which covers a total area of more than 46,000 square metres. The park has a large demand for electricity, with an annual power consumption of more than 4 million kWh. With an installed capacity of 1.255 MW, the project is implemented in the mode of “self-generation for self-consumption, without feeding surplus power into the local power grid”.

Annual power generation benefit
In the past, the annual power consumption of the park was 4.2 million kWh. With AIKO’s modules, this figure becomes 2.6 million kWh, indicating a savings of about RMB2.08 million/year in electricity costs. Compared with conventional P-type modules, AIKO’s modules have lower degradation rates, namely 1% in the first year and only 0.35% in the following years.
Project challenge
It is challenging to increase the power generation capacity within the limited physical space area of the park; in the northern city, high summer temperatures can lead to a decrease in the operating efficiency of PV modules, and intensify the hot spot effect for PV modules which can cause damage and even fire accidents.
Solution
The project utilizes 1,860 N-type ABC mono-glass 610W modules from AIKO, with an installed capacity of 1.255 MW. With a higher installed capacity for the same area, AIKO‘s modules effectively cope with the client’s limited installation area. They also feature high power, and longer power generation hours. At high temperatures, they effectively suppress temperature rise, better guarantee power generation and ensure safer project operation.
